The crisis that is facing all of us in the year 2000 and beyond is our Long-Term Care (LTC) needs.  LTC is not an individual issue; it is a family issue.  The American Council of Life Insurance projects that by 2030, when the tail end of the baby boomers will retire, the cost for nursing home care will average about $190,000 a year.

Most families avoid talking about LTC until it’s too late.  It is too late when care is needed.  As you and your family enter your 40’s and beyond, part of retirement planning should include long term care. If you are already retired, you need to investigate alternatives to provide LTC for yourself and your loved ones now.  Not thinking about LTC will not make it go away.

The goal of this organization is to provide information about LTC so that you can make an educated decision on how you will handle your LTC needs. The information contained in this section on Long Term Care comes from a variety of sources and we have tried to make it general in nature, consequently we have not made the content "State Specific'.
